For the 11th straight season, the Mission Garden has became a reality. Volunteers gathered late on the afternoon of May 8 to plant summer veggies including summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. During the 11 o’clock worship, Rev. Rollins led a brief blessing and prayer for the  success of the garden and the positive benefit to those in need in our community.  Thanks to Don and Nancy White, Bruce and Nancy Sharp, Jack and Susie Stoughton and Nancy  Cisco for getting “down and dirty” and getting the garden under way.  Through the first 10 seasons the Mission Garden has produced approximately 2300 pounds of produce.

The Suffolk Living Water for the World (LWW)  team now has four newly qualified members. On April 20-24, Skip and Chris Irby, Nancy Cisco and Mary Ann Saunders completed a 5 day program at Clean Water University  hosted at Camp Hopewell, near Oxford, MS.  Skip and Mary Ann qualified in the management and development of LWW clean water systems while Nancy and Chris were trained in  how to teach the health, hygiene and spiritual  components.  They join with Rob Saunders, Jack and Susie Stoughton to be ready to take on a new LWW project in Guatemala where the Suffolk LWW team has already installed  3 clean water systems.

Join us in worship this Sunday at 11:00 as we celebrate Pentecost and honor all our graduates.
